Is the fishery open throughout the year?

Yes, from dawn to dusk except for Christmas day.

Is pre-booking necessary?

The weekends can become busy so booking is recommended but not always essential. A quick phone call to Huw on 01492 622338 will give you more up to date information.

Can I carry on fishing after I’ve caught my limit?

Yes, as long as you use barbless hooks and the fish are returned unharmed. If the fish are unfortunately damaged they must be paid for.

Does the fishery operate catch and release?

Yes, sporting tickets are available from the lodge.

Is there a tackle shop on site?

There is a well stocked tackle shop in the lodge that will supply terminal tackle and flies.

Is the fishery stocked daily?

Stocking occurs daily so that the volume of fish in the lake remains constant. The stock size of fish ranges from 2-30lb. The stocked fish are a mixture of rainbow, blues and brown trout.

How many doubles are stocked per week?

Approximately seven or eight doubles are stocked per week, but this number may increase if the fishery has been fishing well.
